With his PhD. in Computer Science, Dr. Kenneth Ford has an impressive history working in artificial intelligence, cognitive science, human-centered computing, and entrepreneurship in government and academia. He is the author of hundreds of scientific papers and six books. Dr. Ford has been a member of the NASA Advisory Council since 2007, and served as chairman for three years.

In 2010, he was awarded NASA’s Distinguished Public Service Medal. Dr. Ford has received many awards and honors for his work in Artificial Intelligence and science, most recently being inducted into the Florida Inventor’s Hall of Fame in 2017.

Dr. Mary Newport

Mary T. Newport, M.D. attended Xavier University for pre-medicine and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She trained in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, and completed her fellowship in neonatology at the Medical University Hospital in Charleston, SC. She practiced neonatology in Florida for 30 years. When her husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, she found a nutritional intervention, coconut oil.

She responded dramatically to consuming medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) from coconut oil, which produces ketones when consumed. To carry on his legacy, she remains a fervent messenger for ketones as an alternative fuel for the brain for Alzheimer’s and other disorders. Dr. Ryan Lowery, a national champion baseball player, has his B.S. in Exercise Physiology and M.S. in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Tampa, and recently completed his Ph.D in Health and Human Performance. He currently serves as the President of the Applied Science and Performance Institute, and recently launched a book, The Ketogenic Bible,

with his business partner, Dr. Jacob Wilson, focusing on the science and practical application behind the ketogenic diet, exogenous ketones, and all of their potential applications.


Dr. Jacob Wilson

Dr. Jacob Wilson is an expert and researcher on the cellular, molecular, and whole body changes in muscle size, strength, and power in response to nutrition and training. Dr. Wilson’s laboratory is the first to investigate the impact of ketosis and supplemental ketones can have when it comes to athletic performance.

He has found that resistance training combined with Ketogenic dieting results in fat loss and increases in muscle mass.


Dr. Brendan Egan

Dr. Brendan Egan is an Associate Professor of Sport and Exercise Physiology in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dublin City University. He also consults as a nutritionist for sports teams. Dr. Egan has a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick, a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Loughborough University, and a PhD from Dublin City University.

He completed his post-doctoral training at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. His research focuses on the molecular regulation of skeletal muscle function, and optimizing performance in athletes and the elderly with nutrition and exercise interventions.


Dr. Angela Poff

Dr. Angela Poff is a Research Associate in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, M.S. & Ph.D. in Medical Sciences. Dr. Poff focuses her research on the development and characterization of metabolic-based, non-toxic therapies for cancer and neurological disorders.

She has presented her work at many national and international scientific conferences, including the Keystone Symposia on Tumor Metabolism, Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, and the Global Symposium on Ketogenic Therapies.

Dr. Lilianne Mujica-Parodi

Dr. Lilianne R. Mujica-Parodi is Director of the Laboratory for Computational Neurodiagnostics and Professor in Stony Brook University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Mujica-Parodi is Staff Researcher and Lecturer in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

She received her Ph.D. from Columbia University. She is the recipient of the National Science Foundation Career Award and the White House Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering. Her research focuses on the application of control systems engineering to advanced human neuroimaging, with neurodiagnostic applications to neurological and psychiatric disorders.
